Are we leaving people behind in the climate crisis? Hosted by Maia Simpson, this powerful workshop explored the intersection of human rights, the environment, and why marginalised communities are often the most vulnerable during climate emergencies.

From systemic discrimination to the barriers created at the intersection of gender and disability, this session challenged us to rethink what climate justice truly means.

Everyone deserves the right to live in a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. In this workshop, participants:

• Thought about ways to amplify frontline stories through stakeholder engagement

• Identified key decision-makers and community hubs in their local areas

• Wrote “Letters to the Future” outlining one meaningful action to take within the next 30 days

Climate action must be inclusive, accessible, and community-led. Preventing needless loss of life starts with ensuring no one is left behind. Together, we can build a safer and more equitable future.
